UK Power Networks Update

On Thursday 1st May 2025 PRERA attended a onsite walkabout with Daniel Cotter from UKPN, a representative from Falco, and our Lambeth Neighbourhood Housing Officer.

UKPN have been on the Palace Road Estate for over a year. UKPN have confirmed all works have been completed to the blocks on the estate, however they are severely delayed completing the works on Coburg Crescent. This has been due to access issues which have then been exacerbated by other UKPN works. Lambeth have agreed to send letters out to properties where UKPN are having difficulty accessing properties.

PRERA have been regularly liaising UKPN for status updates, and chasing reinstatement to ensure once the works have been completed the estate is fully repaired.

On the walkabout the follow actions were agreed:

  • Bollards to be replaced along service road. 1 x bollard next to planters, 2x middle next to service road and 2 x opposite the play ground
  • Removal of yellow trench guard in the middle of estate
  • Material to be provided for damaged planters on service road
  • Re-instatement of bollard outside 121/122 Coburg Crescent
  • Re-instatement of bollards outside 91 Coburg Crescent
  • SQS to re-bed drain cover outside 88 Coburg Crescent
  • Removal of rubble 121/122 Coburg Crescent (unknown origin)
  • Planting of bush at 130-139 Coburg Crescent
  • UKPN to supply addresses where they have not been grated access to Lambeth (for letters to be sent out)

We will continue to chase UKPN to ensure all the damage caused to the estate is reinstated and not then passed onto Lambeth to rectify on Service Charge paying residents bills.
