Met Engage is a new platform launched by the Metropolitan Police (the Met) to facilitate communication and engagement between the police and London communities. It allows residents to connect with their local policing teams, receive updates, and provide feedback on local policing priorities.
Met Engage is not a crime-reporting platform. If you wish to report a crime you can call 101 or through the repot a crime section of the Met Website. If it is an emergency, dial 999.
- Purpose: Met Engage aims to foster better communication and collaboration between the police and the public.
- Functionality: It allows residents to:
- Receive updates from their local policing teams about crime prevention, local events, and ongoing investigations.
- Share their concerns and feedback with local officers.
- Shape the priorities of their local policing team.
- How it works: Met Engage is a subscription-based email service.
- Availability: It is being rolled out across London, starting in south-west London.
- Not a crime reporting platform: Met Engage is focused on communication and engagement, not on reporting crimes.
- Sign-up process: Residents can sign up for Met Engage through the Met Police website.
