Lambeth has sent out a letter regarding recent anti-social behaviour reports, specifically regarding loud music and football games in communal areas. It serves as a reminder to residents about unacceptable behaviour, what to do if they experience antisocial behaviour, and the appropriate times for reducing noise levels.
Re: Reminder Regarding Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
We are writing to remind all residents of the importance of being considerate neighbours and to address recent reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) within the estate.
Specifically, we have received complaints regarding:
- Football is being played in communal areas, causing disturbance and potential safety concerns for other residents.
- Loud music is being played at unsociable hours, particularly late at night, which is impacting the peace and well-being of others on the block.
While we appreciate that residents, including young people, may wish to enjoy communal spaces, we request that activities such as ball games not be played in areas not designated for this purpose. These areas are not suitable for such activities, and this has led to damage, noise, and increased tension among neighbours.
In addition, we kindly remind all residents that music or any noise should be kept to a reasonable level, particularly between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM, in accordance with local noise nuisance regulations.
Persistent anti-social behaviour may result in formal action being taken in accordance with our tenancy agreement and local authority guidelines.
We are committed to ensuring the estate remains a safe, welcoming, and respectful place for all residents. Your cooperation is vital in maintaining this standard.
If you are experiencing issues or wish to report any incidents confidentially, please get in touch with us on 0207 926 9000.
Thank you for your attention and understanding.
