Weeding of hard surfaces
Serco attended the Palace Road Estate on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th April 2025 to ‘weed’ hard surfaces using a strimmer. This is part of Serco’s external maintenance and cleansing contract with Lambeth. In 2024 Serco was in failure on contract on Palace Road Estate for their lack of weeding attendance – See photos below. Serco attended only once in 2024 – the day before an estate walkabout in September. PRERA are in discussion with Lambeth to ensure that the same does not occur this year and Serco are held to account on the contract.
Broken Drain Covers on Palace Road
The dangerous broken drain covers on Palace Road outside Baly House were reported to Lambeth Streets Team (the pavement on Palace Road is not estate land) earlier this month and have been replaced.
Damaged Tree on Coburg Crescent
Lambeth Tree works have attended the damaged tree on Coburg Crescent to remove the broken branch and make safe. PRERA are awaiting a report whether the tree can be saved or will need to be removed for long term safety reasons.
Leak outside 39 Bushell Close
This leak has nto yet been resolved and PRERA are continuing to chase.
