Estate works, repairs and maintenance update (Feb ’25)

An update on small estate works, repairs and maintenance from this month…

Tree works orders

Some of the tree works orders have now been completed along along Christchurch Road. The works to tree 97 and tree 443 are complete; the beech tree located along Christchurch Road (tree 97) was the priority, due to decay at its base caused by brittle cinder fungus, and has now been cut down to a low standing stem.

The pruning works to tree 99 and tree 100 – two false acacia trees – remain outstanding. Unfortunately they had to be postponed, as the crows had returned to the nest earlier than anticipated. The pruning of these trees will now have to wait until the autumn and be rescheduled for after the nesting season.

Works orders are still pending here and on Bushell Close.

Works recall reinstatement on Bushell Close

Works to rebuild a collapsed wall at the back of Bushell Close left damage and a large amount of rubbish. A PRERA volunteer cleared all the rubbish left (bagging it and putting in into the bins – Thank you!) and PRERA have chased Lambeth to rectify the damage as recall which incur no cost to service charge paying residents. The bollard and wooden fence have now been reinstated, however the grass is still a bit of a mess.

PRERA litter watch

On our WhatsApp Community there is a chat for the sharing images of litter issues across our estate. These images are being collated into a record of the failure of contract delivery of Serco on our estate, and are also sent to Lambeth regularly to highlight the issue.
