A PRERA committee volunteer met with Serco and the Coburg Crescent street bin collection crew on Tuesday 10th June to discuss the issues that are delaying and/or preventing normal collections of the street bins from Coburg Crescent properties (in particular from the estate service road).
Additional metal bollards have been requested on Coburg Crescent (locations shown in the following photos) to resolve access issues caused by parked cars, so that the bin lorry has enough space for it’s turning circle to access the service road.

PRERA have also been in conversation with Lambeth and Serco regarding ongoing overflowing/missed collection issues with the Despard House platform bins. Additional metal bollards have been requested (location shown in the following photo) to resolve access issues caused by parked cars that have previously blocked the emptying of the bins. We also requested an additional weekly refuse collection for the Despard House platform, to bring those bins inline with the the schedule for all other 1100L wheelie bins on the estate. This has finally been approved and should be implemented ASAP.
