Our community hall and the associated buildings (3, 5 and 7 Coburg Crescent) have now been completely demolished. Residents may now be wondering what the next step is.
The PRERA committee has recently heard that plans are on hold, pending a financial decision in mid-July. If this decision goes through, the design of the new resource centre will then be finalised. The subsequent key project milestones are expected to be:
- End of September 2016 – Planning submission date
- End of December 2016 – Expected date for receiving planning permission
- End of October 2016 – Appointment of contractor
- End of January 2017 – Start of construction
- End of July 2018 – Completion
